Inland Empire Homes for Sale

The region's hottest market

The Inland Empire is a Southern California inland region located East of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Historically, the Inland Empire borders have not been specific, but it is agreed by most to include all communities in the western section of Riverside county and San Bernardino counties.   The area includes cities such as Corona, Riverside, Temecula, San Bernardino, Redlands, Rancho Cucamonga, Pomona, Ontario, and several mountain communities such as Big Bear and Arrowhead.

The Inland Empire has a diverse landscape from desert valley areas to mountains ranges and therefore can offer a variety of outdoor recreation. You will find skiing in the mountain areas, vineyards to the south in Temecula Valley, boating and fishing in the many lakes such as Lake Elsinore and Lake Arrowhead, and sky diving in Perris.

The Inland Empire weather also draws many people to the area.  In general, the area experiences mild winters in the 50s and 60s and warmer summers where the thermostat will reach in the 90s and 100s for several weeks of the year. Of course, you can find more extremes in the mountain or desert areas of this region.

The area is well known for it’s agriculture, in particular it’s citrus farms. However, in more recent times the area has grown to be a major shipping hub with plenty of land for warehouses and access to major highways such as the 91 frwy, the 10 frwy and the 60 frwy.  Ecommerce has also seen a large boom in the area with Amazon moving in and making shipments from March Air Force Reserve Base and the Ontario airport.

Housing throughout the Inland Empire tends to be more affordable than neighboring Los Angeles and Orange Counties, making it more desirable. The median sales price in March of 2021, as reported by the Inland Empire Board of Real Estate, was $500,000 in the Inland Empire however there has been a surge through the spring of 2021 and home prices continue to rise.  The IE covers a vast area and many cities and therefore the median price may vary considerably city by city.

Whether you are looking for city living, suburban communities, rural properties, or mountain cabins, the Inland Empire has plenty of options and areas to choose from.  If you would like to learn more about the “IE”, as the locals call the area,  let’s get together and talk about your dream house and what area might be the best fit for you.  We invite you to search homes in the more popular communities below and let us know if there is a property that you’d like to know more about.  Just click on the city below!
