It can be difficult to determine whether we are currently in a buyer’s or seller’ market. However, there are a few key indicators that can help give us a general idea.

The first indicator is housing inventory. This is a measure of how many homes are on the market for sale at any given time. When housing inventory is high, that means there are more homes available for sale than there are buyers looking to purchase, which gives buyers more negotiating power and puts downward pressure on prices. This is typically considered a buyers market.
