Moreno Valley

The City of Moreno Valley was incorporated in 1984 bringing together the communities of Edgemont, Sunnyvale and Moreno. 

It is located South of Riverside along Hwy 60 just west of Interstate Hwy 215.

It is home of the March Joint Air Reserve Base and had past notoriety as home to the Riverside International Raceway which closed in 1989. The Box Canyon Springs Mountain is a local landmark that houses a large M that is seen from the valley and lit for special holidays.

Moreno Valley is the 2nd largest city by population in Riverside County with nearly 215,000 residents. Although the city has experienced some economic challenges, it is now considered one of the fastest growing cities in the county.  The largest employers are March Air Reserve Base, Amazon, Moreno Valley School District and Riverside University Health System. There are three major industrial hubs in Moreno Valley including Centerpointe, Moreno Valley Industrial area and SR-60 Corridor.

The median age in Moreno Valley is 32.6 and the average household income is $86,641.  There are over 56,000 households of which 64% are homeowners.

Schools K-12 fall under the oversight of the Moreno Valley Unified School District and hospitals that service this area are Kaiser Permanente and Riverside County Regional Medical Center.
