City of Menifee

The City of Menifee was established in 2008 and became the 26th city in Riverside County.

It is located on the Southeast part of Riverside County along Interstate Hwy 215 which travels North/South through the middle of the city.  It is bordered by the cities of Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore, Murrieta, Perris and Wildomar.  Communities within the city include Sun City, Lake, Quail Valley and Romoland.

The population as of 2020 was 97,000 and the city has a projected growth of 107,000 by 2025. The  median age in this community was 36 years old and the average household income was just over $87,000. The number of households is 36,869.

Schools K-12 are overseen by three different school districts; Menifee Union and Romoland districts for elementary and middle school and then Perris Union oversees the high school.  Menifee is also home to Mt San Jacinto College.

The climate here is considered a Mediterranean climate with and average of 263 days of sunshine. Like much of the Inland Empire, the hottest Month is August and temperatures through the Spring and Summer run between 83 – 101 degrees.
